Rick began his career as a youth minister, campus pastor and education director after graduating from Southwestern AG University in Waxahachie, TX. His corporate background includes Senior Director of Marketing for GMA (Gospel Music Association) and CMTA (Christian Music Trade Association), Director of Marketing for Word Nashville Records, Owner of Positive Country Promotions and his own management/consulting company. He also spent 10 years with Christian and country radio stations in Waco, Texas and Nashville, Tennessee. His heart for youth and the gospel led him to FCA Dallas in 2007. Rick is married to Angel and has one son Joshua and a daughter-in-law Kayla (plus a grandson on the way in May). He is a huge sports fan, a former football official in Waco and Nashville, and he enjoys playing golf.

April West is very excited to be a part of Greater Dallas Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She graduated from Texas A&M University in 1993 with a degree in Recreation, Parks and Tourism Science. She has been in the hotel industry for the past 17 years and most recently with Marriott International for 10 years. She has a background in sales, catering and event planning and specialized in social events and thrives on building relationships. April has lived in Dallas for the past 9 years and has made many lifelong friendships through Bible studies and is a member of Prestonwood Baptist Church. She enjoys spending time with her family, networking with local A&M Clubs, preparing gourmet meals, singing, traveling and taking continuing education courses.

Cheryl has just recently joined the FCA team and is ecstatic to be here! She graduated with her accounting degree in May 2004 from Stephen F Austin State University and has worked as an accountant or bookkeeper since 1996. She has a passion for working with kids, and teaches a Sunday school class at her church. She also serves with Young Lives, a ministry that works with high school aged girls. She is married to Jeff and has 2 beautiful daughters, Taylor and Samantha. She loves spending time with her family, going for walks, and reading.

Mike has been on our staff for over 15 years. Mike works hard to cover our North Central area and also oversees our Campus initiative for the Greater Dallas chapter keeping our focus on what is going on in our schools through our Huddle ministries, One Way 2 Play, Fields of Faith and many other events throughout the year. He is a Duncanville High School graduate and earned his bachelors degree from Texas Christian University. During his time at TCU, Mike played tight-end for the Horned Frog football team and served as president of the TCU FCA Huddle. Mike is married to Melinda and they have two children, Katlyn and Kody. They enjoy playing sports together and are active members of their church.

Jeff begins his 3rd year with the Greater Dallas FCA this fall and serves as Coaches Ministry Director. He is a former middle school and high school teacher and coach, and is a graduate of Round Rock High School and Texas A&M University. He currently serves the coaches and athletes in the following districts: Frisco, Rockwall, Wylie, Coppell, Royse City, Farmersville, Blue Ridge, Community and Bland ISDs. Jeff has been married to his wife, Laura, for 14 years and they have 4 kids (Josh-11, Lily-8, Lucy-6, and Laney-2). Jeff enjoys spending time with his family and traveling. His hobbies include triatholons, marathons and reading.

Danny joined the Greater Dallas FCA staff in November of 2005. He is a graduate of Skyline High School and Southwestern Assemblies of God University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Church Ministries. He became involved with FCA while serving as the youth pastor of Kiestwood Assembly of God in Southern Dallas County. For over 14 years, Danny served as a featured speaker in local huddles and as the athletic chaplain for Kimball High School. Danny is married to Anhel and they have one daughter, Sophia Danielle. They enjoy white water rafting, shopping, and watching movies. Danny also plays the keyboard and Anhel loves to decorate.

Duke Preston was drafted in the 4th round of the 2005 NFL draft and played with the Buffalo Bills before joining the Dallas Cowboys as an offensive lineman in 2008. Duke was a two-year varsity letterman in Baseball and Football at Mt. Carmel High School in San Diego, CA. He was a five year Football Letterman at University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign), voted Team Captain in 2004 and Offensive Player of the Year in 2004. As an Area Representative with Greater Dallas FCA, one of Preston’s priorities will be to help with the implementation of FCA’s One Way 2 Play-Drug Free! program. This drug and alcohol accountability program is part of Dallas FCA’s new Character and Leadership Initiative, a program with Leadership workshops for coaches and curriculum designed to offer character-building tools for student-athletes. Duke is married to Lisa and they recently added their second child Raymond IV along with 1 year old daughter Maya to the family!

Michael graduated from Global University in Springfield, MO with a degree in Pastoral Ministries. Michael served for seven years at Calvary Chapel in Richardson, TX as a staff Pastor. He has been on staff with FCA Dallas since August of 2003. Michael and Stefanie have been married 12 years and have two sons, Drew (8) and Aaron (6). They enjoy grilling, garage sales, and sports. Primarily soccer in case anyone wants to know.

Joe is currently in his 6th year on staff with FCA after serving the last five years as the Harrisonburg, VA Area Rep where he oversaw the 4 C’s of the ministry and served as a Chaplain/Character Coach to the James Madison University football and baseball programs. Joe is a graduate of Hawkins High School and East Texas Baptist University where he played football and baseball and also helped start the FCA ministry on campus. He currently serves as the Ministry Program Coordinator and Area Rep. to Irving and Coppell ISD’s. Joe is currently a student in Tommy Nelson’s Young Gun Program at Denton Bible Church. Joe enjoys spending time with his girlfriend Haley and traveling. His hobbies include working out, running, hunting, fishing, and hiking.

John Hampton has joined the FCA Dallas team to launch the Community Youth Sports ministry. Coach Hampton has served as a college baseball coach, a missionary with Denton Bible Church, a General Manager of a team in the Texas Collegiate League, an Athletic Director, a football coach, an area director in Denton with FCA years ago and even spent a year in the commercial real estate world. His objective now is to use the experience God has given him to bring a biblical perspective to youth sports in the Dallas area. He has a beautiful bride, Lynn, and a 15-month-old son named Hunter who he calls "a cancer fightin machine!"
