OW2P! Commitments signed Nationally since 2008

Over 2500 since Oct 2008 here in Greater Dallas!

"On the morning of Sunday, March 1st I was informed that we had 22 students that were given citations (alcohol related party) by the Police Department. After receiving the list of students, the first thing I did after writing all the names down was pull out the OneWay2Play-Drug Free! contracts my athletes had signed almost a year ago to see if any of those names matched. I am proud to say not one of those student-athletes who made that commitment were among those who received citations. Now that I think about it, I have not had to deal with a drug or alcohol issue from any of those athletes that made that commitment.”
Jim Ledford - AD, Berkner HS- Richardson, TX

In a recent survey of 125,000 coaches, over 90 percent of the respondents said the number one challenge they faced in dealing with their athletes is the problem of drug and alcohol use.

Are you a parent looking for some answers?

Are you a coach or teacher running out of ideas?
Are you a student looking for some help?

OW2P contains three critical elements that make this program one of the most effective in America. When we are talking about One Way 2 Play, FCA stands for Faith, Commitment and Accountability.

Faith they can receive wisdom to make and carry out good decisions.

Commitment to say “no” to alcohol and drugs, as well as helping others to keep their commitments and sign the commitment pledge. (Students have a 60% greater chance of following through on commitments that they sign.)

Accountability to their friends, group leaders and families in keeping their pledge. Five key accountability questions allow students to have peer help. (Students have a 85% greater chance of following through on their commitment if they stay accountable to a peer once a week.)

Greater Dallas FCA has 6 staff members who work with hundreds of schools, AD’s, Coaches, Teachers and local community members and are able to help you find some support.
