Looking at the 2010 calendar, it’s very exciting and I’ll admit a little scary to see all of the blank dates waiting for their future arrival. What will they bring? Who will they bring? Where will they take us?
This past year has allowed the FCA staff to experience with many days of incredible highs and also a few challenging days. Recently, our staff was blessed to be able to share a night with our coaches and Pat Williams from the Orlando Magic during our Coaches Appreciation Dinner. We shared great food and fellowship and heard an inspiring message from Pat, who challenged and encouraged all of us. A generous sponsor provided the funds to enable almost 200 coaches and spouses to join us at no cost. November 16 was just one example of a day where our staff experienced the joy of serving others.
As you can see on our website, the upcoming months promise some exciting events in front of us; Weekend of Champions (two this year!), the TLO Tee Off Breakfast, the Tom Landry Open, and Frisco Roughriders Night to name a few. And all those days in between, we get to be part of this fantastic and important ministry. We prayerfully step into a new year full of expectation, ready for ups and downs, and striving for excellence in all we do for the Lord’s work.
It’s a privilege and joy to be part of God’s plan in the Dallas FCA office. God’s blessing to you and your family this joyful holiday season!
“Teach us to number our days aright, that we might gain a heart of wisdom.”
Psalm 90:12
