"Sid Davis, a well-respected attorney in the Dallas area died of Swine flu complications last Monday (October 26th). Tuesday morning all 11 FCA captains gathered in my room to pray for the family and specifically for Tim the sr. son of Sid. After an emotional prayer time the captains decided to do a few additional things to show their love and support. Flowers and a huge 3 foot card, made by the kids with signatures and kind words, were brought to the house by several officers later in the week. The team responded and showed the love of Christ to a young man and his family who were suffering the death of their father. "

3) Spiritual goal to accomplish in my area:
See the Matthew 15:16 principle unfold in the life of each of my adult booster clubs. A tangible result would be to see every booster club that is being developed (Carollton-Farmers Branch, Garland, Highland Park and Richardson ISD’s) to resource athletes to WOC and summer camps. And get Coaches and their Spouses sponsored for marriage enrichments.
4) Communicate clearly about my area of ministry:
It has been an AMAZING year for me. I have seen the following happen since January 2009. Eliminate family debt program, monthly date nights w/my wife. Good Stuff! My parents were BOTH involved in separate car wrecks; Mom in May 2009 and Dad in October 2009. They are fully recovered. Whew! Thank you Jesus!
I shared all the above to say this. My life has ups and downs, just like yours! And I am constantly throwing my agenda at the feet of Jesus. One thing I am learning through all of it is this: IF your heart beat increases at the thought of Coaches and Athletes being challenged with the adventure of following Jesus Christ in a personal relationship, then I need YOU on my team!
