Camps Ministry Game Plan
Our Goal is to provide coaches and student-athletes opportunities to grow spiritually and grow in leadership through retreats and camps.

In late February, nearly 600 middle school students and 100 coaches will leave their “comfort zone” and embark on a life-changing retreat we call Weekend of Champions. We are moving from Sky Ranch to Lakeview Camp near Waxahachie where we will have more room to serve a greater number of students.
NEW this year we are providing a Coaches Enrichment Retreat at the Westin Hotel in Frisco in July 2009. 75 coaches and spouses will be pampered, challenged professionally & spiritually, loved on and given opportunity to just fellowship with each other as they take a break before starting a busy new school year.
Alongside the Dallas area camps, we will continue to provide opportunities for students to attend the Baylor Sports Camp, A&M/Abilene Leadership Camps as well as a Golf Camp. This will also be the second year where we will partner with DISD on their football clinic.
FCA 2008 Sports and Leadership Camps-Recap The theme for our camps this year was GET FOCUSED and over 1200 students gathered at sports and leadership camps throughout Texas this summer to do just that. Over 100 of those students came from the Greater Dallas area and are already looking forward to next year.

Partnership Clinic with DISD - A first-time partnership, DISD allowed Greater Dallas FCA to work with them on a two-day football clinic for middle school students. 210 students and 75 coaches participated in the clinic and former NFL Star Tim Brown shared about the impact of his relationship with Christ during his time as a professional athlete.
Thanks to the North Texas District Assemblies of God, we were able to give each student an FCA Bible and through other donations, each attendee received a t-shirt while Chic-Fil-A provided lunch. Next summer with the help of local churches we will be able to transport hundreds of inner-city athletes to the event for even greater impact.
