    DALLAS FCA MINISTRY GAME PLAN

    Coaches

Our Goal is to Impact the World for Jesus Christ One Coach at a Time.

Our Plan is to serve coaches by walking alongside them in their professional, personal and spiritual journey. “And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, commit to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.” 2 Timothy 2:2

"Coaching is much more than trying to figure out how to win a football game or a baseball game or a track meet. It's really how to win a life for Christ."  Steve Thomas - Plano High School Offensive Coordinator

Professionally- Provide leadership training on the purpose of FCA's ministry and how

Coaches are the key to leading student athletes to a deeper experience with Christ.  Our goal is to provide resources as well as partnership opportunities through the Huddle Groups (before and after school meetings) as Coaches lead students to become men and women of character and to further their spiritual growth.

    Spiritually-
Mentor coaches to a deeper understanding of their walk with Christ by offering Coaches Legacy Builder Bible studies as well as a Middle School Coaches Retreat in February and Coaches/Spouse Camp in July.  The Legacy Builders Discipleship Series is a comprehensive system that encourages, equips, and empowers coaches to live (and coach) biblically for the glory of God.

Personally- Coaches, you serve students - We want to serve you!  When you have a great day, we want to celebrate it.  When you have a bad day, we want to be a shoulder to lean on.  You are the Heart of what we do!

Jeff Jacobs serves as our Coaches Ministry Director and assisted by Michael Santiago.

    Campus

Our Goal is to have trained and committed coaches & student leaders in place to lead Huddle Groups at their local school.

"FCA Camp was a blast! I now feel equipped to efficiently run my huddle at my school. It was an amazing experience and God did some amazing things." Zach - Plano (Leadership Camp attendee)

It is in the Huddle Group on campus where student-athletes can learn to deal with peer pressure, hold each other accountable, be given opportunities to do community outreach projects, commit to staying drug and alcohol free (OneWay2Play-Drug Free!) and know what it is like to serve Christ “even on campus”.   Greater Dallas FCA staff has recommitted their efforts to providing the best resources available for Huddle Coaches and Student Huddle Leaders to accomplish this goal.

Mike Noack serves as our Campus Ministry leader and is assisted by Chauncey Franks.

    Camps

Our Goal is to provide coaches and student-athletes opportunities to grow spiritually and grow in leadership through retreats and camps.

“My name is McKenzie and I just want to thank you so much because without all the people donating money and other stuff, I wouldn’t have accepted Jesus into my heart- as soon as I did anyway.  I feel like a new person.”  Sincerely McKenzie B. (Weekend of Champions attendee)

In late February, nearly 600 middle school students and 100 coaches will leave their “comfort zone” and embark on a life-changing retreat we call Weekend of Champions. Also, alongside the Dallas area camps, we will continue to provide opportunities for students to attend the Baylor Sports Camp, A&M/Abilene Leadership Camps as well as a Golf Camp.  This will also be the second year where we will partner with DISD on their football clinic.

    Community

Our goal is to provide partnership opportunities for local churches, businesses, community leaders, school leaders, parents and volunteers to help Greater Dallas FCA effectively reach out to the community as well as allow the community to invest in coaches and student athletes.

"If you want to have a positive impact on the community, then this is what you need to be involved in. I can't overemphasize what an important impact it has on kids’ lives and I've seen it firsthand."

James Craft - Plano FCA Adult Chapter Volunteer

Here is your opportunity, whether as a parent, business leader, church leader, school administrator, coach, teacher or as a volunteer to serve along with the Greater Dallas FCA staff.

One of the most effective means of community involvement is through one of our area Adult Chapters/Booster Clubs.  Volunteers within the community meet on a consistent basis to provide adult fellowship and spiritual growth while implementing FCA’s purpose and programs.

It is through Adult Chapters/Booster Clubs that Greater Dallas FCA is able to make the connection from what is done on campus back into the community.  Thousands of dollars are also raised to sponsor student-athletes and coaches to attend area camps and retreats, appreciation banquets for coaches as well as support of the ministry staff of Greater Dallas FCA.

If you have any questions regarding our Ministry Plan, please contact any member of our ministry team or call our office.  We are here to serve the Greater Dallas Community and take that responsibility very seriously, your ideas and support are vital to our ministry.

Listen to those whose lives have been changed through this important ministry:

"FCA has and continues to make a big impact on my life as a college student and now as a coach.  FCA taught me how to grow in my faith as a Christian.  Now as a Coach I have the chance to pour back into students what was poured into me.  I am looking forward to what God is going to do on the campus of Texas A&M Commerce this year." - Coach Trif , Texas A&M Commerce Coach

"It was amazing to have no program but as the saying goes.. "If you build it they will come", and our students did! Murphy MS in the past 2 years has had consistently over 120 members. The students enjoy the fellowship and rely on the leadership... it is a safe
place to be a Christian. Our students volunteer for Special Olympics Texas and have an annual Teacher Appreciation Breakfast to give a little back. The Impact has been tremendous!"  - Vicki F, FCA mom
